Islamabad: February 05-2014 ( www.pmln.com.pk):The Government and the people of Pakistan are observing Kashmir Solidarity Day. This is an occasion to reiterate our firm support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their legitimate struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination.On this day we reaffirm our resolve to stand by our brothers and sisters in their valiant struggle for their just cause. The peaceful people of Jammu and Kashmir continue to suffer. Not only the right to self-determination is being denied to them but they are also being subjected to the worst kind of human rights abuses violence and suppression.Thousands of Kashmiris have lost their lives and thousands more are languishing in Indian jails. However, atrocities and humiliations have not deterred them from a cause cased on their legitimate aspiration of their right of self determination as enshrined in the UN Charter and UNSC Resolutions. A just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir is a sine qua non for lasting peace is South Asia.Pakistan is committed to the resolution of all outstanding disputes with India including Jammu and Kashmir, through dialogue. We invite India to engage in a comprehensive sustained and result-oriented dialogue process. We also urge the international community to play its due role in securing for Kashmiris their right to self-determination.Pakistan will continue playing its constructive role towards peaceful solution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. On behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan, I reaffirm Pakistan’s firm commitment to a just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmirdispute in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the protection of their fundamental rights. We will always stand by our Kashmiri brethren until the realization of their right to self determination..
 

Islamabad: February 05-2014 ( www.pmln.com.pk):Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has felicitated the President, Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa and Prime Minister, Mr. Disanayaka Mudiyanselage Jayaratne of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on the occasion of their National Day being celebrated on 04 February, 2014. In his message of greetings Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said: “It is with immense pleasure that I convey to Your Excellencies my sincere felicitations on the auspicious National Day of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.I am confident that the close and friendly relations happily existing between our two countries would continue to grow in the coming days, as we jointly strive to strengthen economic and commercial ties between our countries. I also earnestly desire that we further strengthen our ongoing cooperation to promote peace and stability in our region and beyond. I also take this opportunity to pray for Your Excellencies’ personal health and well being; and progress and prosperity of your country”. 

 
Islamabad: ( www.pmln.com.pk):Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that provincial quota and 5% quota for disabled /special persons should be ensured in the Youth Business loan scheme. He said this while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of Youth Business Loan Scheme at PM house.The meeting was attended by Ishaq Dar, Minister for Finance, Pervaiz Rashid, Minister for Information, Mariam Nawaz, Honorary Chairperson of the Youth Programme and other senior government officials from Ministry of Finance, SMEDA, NBP, and First Women Bank.The Prime Minister said that complaint redressal should be done on fast track basis. He also directed Mr. Muneer Kamal to review the rejected applications and ascertain the grounds on which they were rejected and if found correct should be added to the list of eligible applicants.The Prime Minister stressed upon transparency in the scheme and said that no favoritism would be tolerated. He also directed for speedy processing of the applications by the Bank officials.Prime Minister said that he would personally review the progress of the scheme
PRIME MINISTER CONDEMNS BLAST IN HASSAN SQUARE KARACHI

CHINESE COMPANY TO INVEST US$ 2 BILLION IN PAKISTAN

ISLAMABAD: ( www.pmln.com.pk):. Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is one of the emerging economies of world. Government is making structural reforms to make the economy attractive for local and international investors, he added.He was talking to a delegation of Chinese Group RUYI headed by its chairman Mr. Yafu Qiu, in PM house.Prime Minister said that Pakistan provides ample investment opportunities in energy infrastructure and textile sectors. He said that the government has investment friendly policies and we welcome investors from all over the world, including China to invest in Pakistan.Mr. Yafu Qiu, Chairman of Chinese Company informed the Prime Minister that his company is all set to invest US$ 2 billion in Pakistan in the next two years. The main sectors of investment would be energy and textile, he said. He added that his company would construct two coal fired power plants in Pakistan each having power generation capacity of 300 megawatt. He said that after getting GPS plus status Pakistan has become an attractive place for investment in textile sector. He acknowledged that Pakistan has a booming textile sector and taking advantage of the available opportunities, they have planned to invest in textile sector besides production of High quality Yarn. He said that they are encouraged by the support and assistance provided by the government of Pakistan in this respect.Prime Minister appreciated the initiative by the company and said that the investment would not only create job opportunities for the skilled youth but also lead to introduction of new technology in textile sector.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lauds services of Ex-Foreign Minister Sahabzada  Yaqub Khan

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said Pakistan lauds the services rendered by ex-foreign minister and seasoned diplomat retired Lieutaenant General Sahabzada Yaqub Khan.He said this while meeting Sahabzada Yaqub Khan who called on him in Islamabad.Nawaz Sharif said the personality of Sahabzada Yaqub khan is a role model for young diplomats which is a remarkable mix of articulation, intellect and patriotism.Issues pertaining to national and international importance were also discussed during the meeting.On 27th of last month, prime minister inaugurated the newly constructed office block at the foreign office which has been named as Sahabzada Yaqub khan block in recognition of his services in the field of international diplomacy.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said revival of economy is the top most priority of the government and it is working on a comprehensive strategy to achieve the goal.Addressing special meeting of the federal cabinet in Islamabad today‚ he said the government is working to overcome energy crisis‚ which has crippled economy and social life of the people.

ISLAMABAD:(M Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday the youth loan programme would help alleviate poverty in the country.Addressing the launching ceremony of Prime Minister’s Youth Loan Programme, organized by National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) here at Okara Sports Complex, he said loans would help people send their children to school and become useful members of society.The Prime Minister said Rs 100 billion allocation for the loan scheme reflected his trust in youth, who would put the country on the road to progress
 
State, Constitution witness in Musharraf's case: PM Nawaz
ISLAMABAD:( www.pmln.com.pk):.Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said the state and its constitution are witness against former military ruler Pervez Musharraf in the treason case.In an exclusive interview with Dunya News' Lahore bureau chief, the Prime Minister stated that court has to decide whether the Constitution of Pakistan was violated with Musharraf’s November 3 action or not.If the law is equal for everyone then everyone is answerable to the courts, he added.PM Nawaz said it is court’s duty to prove someone guilty or innocent.
MD FFC calls on President
ISLAMABAD, ( www.pmln.com.pk):: Managing Director of Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC), Lt. Gen ® Naeem Khalid Lodhi, HI(M) called on President Mamnoon Hussain here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr Thursday and presented to the President a cheque worth Rs. 10 million for the Prime Minister’s Balochistan Earthquake Relief Fund. MD FFC also briefed the President about the Company and its contributions towards agriculture sector of the country.He also apprised the President about various efforts being made by the Company towards fulfilling its corporate social responsibility that included projects in education, health, environment, poverty alleviation and rehabilitation of the calamity-hit people.
